06.25.2021Legrand rewarded at the GEEIS-SDG Trophy’s second edition
On June 25, 2021, at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, 6 international companies gathered to receive the GEEIS-SDG Trophy that places, for its second edition, gender equality as a key driver to reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the United Nations.
Bénédicte Bahier, Executive VP Human Resources, received the trophy for the scholarship program developed by Legrand India. This distinction rewards the excellent work done Tony Berland (CEO of Legrand India) and his teams in awarding scholarships which, each year, give young women opportunities to pursue higher education.
An international jury assessed this scholarship program’s relevance in contributing to achieving 2 of the UN’s SDGs: SDG number 4 “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” and SDG number 5 “Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”.
The Group’s commitments and initiatives in terms of CSR and HR Policy contribute to fulfilling its purpose: improving lives.
